If you own a firearm to protect your family, you NEED to take a course on how to use and manipulate the firearm, through proven exercises to test yourself and your firearms capabilities. You don’t want to find out when its to late. This Group has over 30 years of real world experience in weapons training, operating, and teaching military personnel , LEO, and civilian students. They have seen and tested a good amount of equipment. While in training if they see a technique which is not as efficient they will explain to you why and give you a better option. These Course’s are very informative and presented with professionalism, with 2 way communication, and in a safe fun environment. I just finished my second course and look forward to “Getting More of My Kevin On!” Thanks BRM!!!!

It’s Not Enough! “What isn’t Enough?“ You Ask.
According U.S. Census the population is 334 million.
According to the ATF it is possible there are 465 Million Firearms that have been manufactured for the U.S. Market. That doesn’t include 3d Printed Firearms and DIY Built Firearms from parts.
That’s almost 2 guns per person(of those who are comfortable with firearms). That doesn’t include the illegally acquired from outside sources. And how many illegal immigrants have a fire arm? Scary huh?
What’s not enough? Just owning a firearm! If majority of legal and criminal population owns a firearm be sure to understand they too know how to load, pull the trigger, and hit a non moving paper target at a peaceful shooting range.
What more can you do? Take a course presented by professionals who have experience of more than 30 Years with using and teaching courses about firearms and how to safely use a firearm effectively. From finding what firearms work best for you, basic functions, to how to use the firearms in situational settings.
With this group of professionals I took Room Search/Room Clear with Pistol and AR-15. With simple basic progressive steps of adding information/actions through the first day and a little of the second day to the end of second day running through the courses as a team, this opened my eyes of how illy prepared I was. By no means can they teach you 30 years of experience in 16 hours, I know now that I still need more training and I have a good solid basis.
I feel as if I can learn a great deal more from Kevin and his instructors at Blue Ridge Marksmanship! Looking forward to more training in this fun, experienced, safe environment!

My husband and I just took the beginner pistol course from Kevin. We are amazed how much we learned and how much fun we had doing it!
I was a little nervous initially, but there was no need to be – Kevin makes you feel comfortable right away. Before today, my husband had some experience shooting and I had very little. It didn’t matter. The course was informative, fun, and fascinating for both of us. Kevin kept things moving – in fact, the time flew.
I really enjoyed the classroom instruction. Kevin helped me get comfortable learning about guns and how to handle them. He emphasizes safety while giving you lots of hands-on experience. My husband learned to shoot in the Army, but he also couldn’t believe all the great information he learned.
And we had a blast on the firing range. I was initially a bit intimidated and anxious about shooting, but Kevin showed me what I was doing wrong – and right – and helped me improve and gain confidence. It was awesome!
I’m inspired and motivated to practice and learn more- I’m hooked! We plan to take more courses here and tell all our friends. We give Kevin and Blue Ridge Marksmanship our highest possible recommendation.

Just took the AR 15 Operator course with Blue Ridge Marksmanship. It was a great course. Well ran and a pleasure to attend. Good flow from zeroing to the last drill on the last day of the course. The classroom portion was very informative and set the tone for the rest of the course. Range portion was very safe without being a distraction from the lesson at hand. Students were taught at the level that they were and everyone was brought up to a higher level no matter where they started. New shooters were not left behind, while experienced shooters were not held back. Kevin is a great instructor whose ability to get people to a much higher level of skill than they arrived with cannot be overstated. Highly recommend. 10/10.

Just took the AK 47 Operators course at Blue Ridge Marksmanship. It was a great class. Well thought out and planned, it was a great experience for beginners and advanced shooters alike. Great material and curriculum. Professional and safe range while being fun and challenging at the same time. I am not new to firearms, I have a 20 year Combat Arms and 10 year Private Military Contractor background. I found the range to be well ran and the classroom portion to be very informative. Jeremy and Randy were great instructors, knowledgeable and able to push each individual to the edge of their performance envelope. I highly recommend them and BRM to anyone looking to improve your skills or just learn and polish a skill you may or may not have. Great place and great people to work and train with. I plan on taking more courses with them and sending my family and friends there as well. I can give no higher praise to BRM as a company than to willingly send my wife and daughter to them to train. That is the kind of trust I have in the instructors and instruction at BRM. Kevin runs a great school with top notch instructors.

I just took my CCH class this weekend at Blue Ridge Marksmanship. I’m relatively new to firearms and want to thank my instructor, Jim Wiseman, for conducting a professional, information packed class in a laid back environment. He went over everything from gun safety to the laws (and responsibilities) of owning and carrying a firearm. I felt comfortable asking questions in the class and I gained more confidence with my pistol after the some range time as Jim and Andy were both very helpful and gave encouraging.personal feedback. At the end of the day I was so happy with my BRM experience that I plan on signing up for the Pistol 1 class to continue training and improve my handgun skills.

Thank you again Jim and the BRM team, you guys are awesome!

Training at Blue Ridge Marksmanship offers effective (and fun) training for everyone, from absolute beginner to the advanced shooter. Kevin Dylus presents clearly the basics of whichever skill the student needs to learn. He has a keen eye for seeing how the student performs the drill/task so that he can quickly offer just the correction the student needs to complete the task effectively. This might be anything from stance to sight alignment to grip to moving across the range with efficiency and purpose. Kevin also offers advanced skills for the more advanced shooter, from using a “shoot house”, using a firearm while moving, using cover/concealment and so much more. Plus, once the student has learned a particular skill, Kevin comes up with all sorts of shooting situation puzzles/problems so that the student learns how to solve problems “in the heat of the moment”. Not to worry, at all times the mood of the class is pleasant, fun, encouraging. One will be delightedly surprised at how quickly he advances.
I should add, the practice range is outdoors, so there is plenty of room to move, and the range allows target distances from two yards to a hundred++ yards.

My daughter and I took the beginner gun course with Kevin yesterday and learned so much! Kevin is great and really worked with us to make sure we were comfortable and knew how to continue to do drills at a gun range closer to home. Definitely worth the time and money to go with a professional! We will continue our firearm education and tell all our friends to call on Blue Ridge Marksmanship in the future!

Kevin Dylus is the best firearms and safety instructor I have had the pleasure of working with (my experiences include 24 years military, and many courses at Sig Sauer Academy and others). Kevin has the bona fide experience from the military as a warrior and instructor, and teaches civilians and professionals from all walks of life. His teaching style is direct, clear, safe and fun. He encourages students to learn valuable techniques and concepts, and is right there to critique when appropriate and ensure all are safe. One quickly recognizes that Kevin knows his material and communicates it well. He also has gathered a cadre of staff at Blue Ridge Marksmanship that also have “the right stuff”. Thank you, Andy! I just finished the Vehicle Gun Fighting course, and HIGHLY recommend it!
    Thank you, BRM!

I wanted to take a moment to thank you, Kevin, and your staff for the great training last Saturday. For many years I was a professor at UCLA teaching mediation and doing research in the field with the LAPD’s patrol and vice units in the most violent part of the city. Saturday’s training brought it all home especially learning the complexity of deciding to shoot versus learning how to retreat. I co-taught courses with LAPD command officers for eight years and wrote a book about it so you’d think I’d know more. But there’s nothing like having the gun in my hand to see how little I knew. Special thanks to your staff for helping me when the heat (and old age) weren’t.

I’d recommend Blue Ridge Marksmanship to anyone who wants to keep improving their skill and knowledge.

What a wonderful and educational experience! I planned a girls trip to Asheville, NC with my 4 best friends and was looking for some fun things to do that was out of the box from our normal trips. I served respectfully in the Army with SGM Kevin Dylus USA, Ret. and decided to look him up. I knew that he was already very knowledgeable about weapons training from his experience in the military but was blown away by his finesse and accommodating nature to handle everyone in my group from “experienced” to “never held a gun before”. He planned an entire training based on our specific needs and wants of owning and using a firearm. Throughout the training he adjusted his momentum to each individual person, it is not a cookie cutter course. We will definitely be back for more advanced training in the future.

I would recommend Blue Ridge Marksmanship to anybody who plans to own a gun, in fact I just did. Kevin and his crew are absolute professionals. I have been around guns my entire life and when I took the CCW class I was amazed at the amount of new information that I received, just that knowledge was worth every penny of the fee.

You will learn vital life saving skills as well as advanced Close up Pistol Training. This is a must take course. #1 complaint= It was not long enough and everyone wanted more! Even though my skill level was beginner/intermediate they were very productive with their direct feedback and I appreciate that. I’ve taken the pistol and rifle courses, and Kevin is my kind of instructor. His team are awesome. Kevin makes everyone comfortable while challenging us to understand that owning a gun is a great responsibility. Course is made for beginners and advanced owners, with a focus on the basics and fundamentals of shooting, moving, and doing so safely. That said, even old hands on handguns and rifles were learning new things every day. Just because you own a gun doesn’t mean you can use them well. BLUF: I own a handgun and an AR-15, and now I feel confident and competent to use them. I mean it, Check it out. And, last point, women should sign up. In the pistol course, there were 5 women who felt respected and affirmed. Don’t be afraid, Kevin’s team will train you brilliantly!

I spent a total of 6 hours with Kevin. He spent a great deal of time discussing safety. He was able to answer all of my questions, make suggestions about equipment and technique. Kevin would correct when needed in a professional manner. I feel much better whether going to a range or defending myself after this period of instruction. He gave me everything that I asked for and much, much more.

I would highly recommend Blueridge Marksmanship. I recently attended the concealed/carry training and it was a very good experience. The classroom part was very informative and I left with way more knowledge of laws and how to handle situations than I expected. The shooting range part of session was above and beyond expectations. I’d say I left there a better shooter and leaned many new ways to improve even more.
Kevin is an excellent instructor/trainer and a really good person. He and his crew were excellent on the range and I am planning on taking some of the additional training classes there.
The facilities are great. The full day of training really passed by fast due to it being so interesting/fun/entertaining.
    Highly recommend.

Just completed the CCH course and was very impressed by the knowledge of the instructor. Kevin and his crew did a great job. Kevin is engaging and comical throughout the classroom part and encourages particiaption in the students. I had no shooting experience prior to this and was very intimidated about being there with so many others but I was put at ease. The range is on site and we were able to spend several hours there (in the snow!). This was a very informative and fun class and I will be recocmmending this course and this instructor to family and friends.

Just completed the concealed carry class at Blue Ridge Marksmanship yesterday, and I have to share my experience with anyone who may be considering attending a firearms training class or concealed carry class. This is the place to go. Period. Whether you are a brand new shooter or experienced and looking for a place to take it to the next level, it’s all right there waiting for you.

    Seriously.

The facility is very modern, clean, and well lit. The atmosphere is very professional. While your phone will lose signal as you approach, the directions you will receive are easy to follow and adequately detailed (distances are calibrated to the tenth of the mile). The range area is well designed and well maintained. It’s also nice to leave the classroom and walk to an outdoor range area in about two or three minutes. It’s up a hill, but you may drive if you wish.

I have held concealed carry licenses in several other states. Classes can be insufferably dull, with almost zero recall once you leave the room. They can also be intimidating and uncomfortable, guaranteeing there will be no questions or back and forth with the instructor. There was none of that yesterday. Kevin moved through the material at a measured pace. He covered all the bases and yet left no one behind. He routinely prompted for questions and encouraged engagement.

He is a naturally funny guy, and is very good at balancing the requirement that students fully understand the law and the ramifications of the use of deadly force, while using a bit of comic relief. I strongly doubt anyone left the classroom unsure of where North Carolina law stands on the criteria necessary for defending one’s self and loved ones in a potentially lethal situation.

I have worked with a number of firearms trainers to improve my shooting mechanics and marksmanship. Running a range brings with it enormous responsibility. Any exposure to an overbearing and heavy-handed range master will prove to you that you aren’t going to learn much. You certainly are not going to do your best. Shooting on an unsafe range is out of the question. Things can go south in a hurry I’m told.

I give Kevin and his crew very high marks here too. Muzzles down range, clear understanding of who belongs where, when it’s time for dry practice verses live ammo… These things were never a mystery.

At the same time, it was comfortable enough to allow us to focus on successfully punching holes in the target in front of us. The discipline was definitely there, but not overbearing. The crew did a great job of helping and supporting people with very different confidence and skill levels. Students got good suggestions and coaching when wanted, but there was absolutely no preaching about the “one and only right way…” to do something. Very well done.

I actually drove past a few places I could have gotten my concealed carry, to BRM. I wanted to find a place where I could get first-rate instruction while completing my requirements for concealed carry in North Carolina. I also wanted to find a place where I can take my shooting skills to the next level moving forward. I definitely found both.

Keep your power dry. I’ll see you out there.

If you are looking to take a concealed carry course, do yourself a favor and take it at Blue Ridge Marksmanship. This course is a little more expensive than others, but you get what you pay for and much more. Kevin went above and beyond to go over law, guns, gear, ammunition, and most important safety. Kevin teaches in a manner that is engaging and fun. This course was an eye-opener and I cannot say enough about how invaluable it was. I’m a Marine veteran and have been around weapons my whole life. I say this because I have been around a lot of weapons instruction in my life. Kevin teaches in manner that builds confidence and produces results. Kevin truly wants each of his students to leave his class being better prepared for the unknown. I will be back to Blue Ridge Marksmanship soon for more training with Kevin and his team.

Very in detail on all the rules of conceal carry. Kevin is very safe and ensures you are safe as well. Kevin’s training is a lot more than just what NC requires. He goes a further in his classroom instruction as well as on the range. I did many years in the Military, carried a pistol professionally and as home defense for 20 years and I learned new stuff at this class ALL day long. I will be attending other training that is offered here as well. I wish I could give more than 5 stars…. AMAZING place and even more amazing Staff.

What a great place to learn how to handle weapon! I have handled weapons previously, but had never really been comfortable. Kevin provided the educational aspect of firearms, including a concentration on safety, in a classroom setting. We then moved to the firing range, accompanied by his knowledgeable staff, for hands-on experience. We were put through paces that allowed me to gain confidence and a level of security prior to moving to another task/level. Now, it is up to me to practice the drills. I look forward to going back out to Blue Ridge Marksmanship for additional training. What a great day of fun! Thank you Kevin, Jimmy and Keith!

What a fantastic firearms training facility we have right here in our backyard with Blue Ridge Marksmanship! Kevin Dylus is a FANTASTIC instructor who takes the time to make sure you understand and are comfortable with your chosen firearm. I have now taken 4 courses from Kevin – AR-15 Operator, Two Man Room Clearing/CQB, TacMed and Close Quarters Pistol and Pistol Speed Development – and all of them were top notch. I would spend every weekend at BRM if I could. I can’t say enough good things about Kevin and his first class training facility and programs. I highly recommend it to anyone serious about developing their proficiency with handguns, AR-15, or shotguns.

Blue Ridge Marksmanship literally one-up’s the industry. Kevin and his team (Randy and Andy) were the best. Kevin keeps the classroom portion fun and entertains your attention span so time literally flies by. Out on the range, the team explains shooting in another language that is easy for beginners, novices, and experts alike to understand. The rental guns are top-notch and there was no fear about they’re quality and integrity. Randy and Andy are the best range instructors anyone could ask for and if they suggest something crazy (like adjusting your grip or standing differently) then burn a few rounds trying it and it will seriously improve you and if it doesn’t then they won’t give up on helping you advance. They will cheer you on and celebrate with you when you make progress and it seriously lifts your confidence level to a point where you forget you are taking a class! I cannot even describe how happy I am with my CCH class through Blue Ridge Marksmanship, I wouldn’t recommend anyone else!

Just finished up Pistol Speed development this past weekend and that class certainly delivered. I’ve been to many different schools and have close to 500 hours of training in those classes and this was one of the most demanding and challenging courses I’ve been to. You should have a solid grasp of fundamentals before this class because you hit the ground running. All of the different drills are designed to build on the next and push you harder. Just when you think you have it, Kevin turns up the volume and has you working for more. I didn’t think I had the speed in me that Kevin helped to find. Blue Ridge doesn’t offer this class very often due to the demanding nature and difficulty of Pistol Speed Development, so when you see it on the calendar sign up quickly. Can’t say enough good things about Kevin and his team. If you have the basics down and are looking to turn it up to 11, this class will do it. If you still can’t find your front sight, this probably isn’t for you.

I just finished the NC CCH course with Kevin Dylus as the instructor / trainer. I fully expected this course to be led by someone who was knowledgeable in both pistol technique and the law of self defense as it relates to the NC CCH requirements, and Kevin gets top marks in both areas. I also found that Kevin is an excellent trainer / teacher. As someone who has spent many hours instructing in a class format, I can say without reservation that Kevin is one of the best trainers I have had the pleasure of observing. Kevin wove the required instructional material into a class conversation so seamlessly that it was hard to discern that we were actually “learning”. He asked pointed questions that required us to think and to start the mental preparations necessary for carrying concealed in public. And, he did so is such a casual way that the time just flew by. When time came for the written test, I found that I could easily recall the needed information due to the connections that Kevin made in class. Range time was just as enjoyable and beneficial. Good technique was reinforced and deficiencies were corrected. But, if felt like a day at the range with good friends, FUN. I truly cannot recommend this course highly enough. Thanks to Kevin and BRM!

This is what I’ve been looking for! As a civilian, I have wanted training on how to be safe and effective as a gun owner and concealed carrier. In my opinion, most people who carry/own firearms from defense do not seek proper training. Hence the alarming statistics of people being harmed with their own firearms. Blue Ridge Marksmanship provides this training in a safe and fun way.
Kevin Dylus is not only technically knowledgeable, he has had real life experience. He was able to teach me beginning exactly at my skill level and vastly improve my skill level by the end of the day.
I plan to continue through as many classes as possible with Blue Ridge Markmanship. I have also signed my wife up for their CCW class.

A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of meeting Kevin at a security training course here in Cincinnati, Ohio. Kevin is by far one of the best instructors I have met. There are many instructors out there but few have the communication skills that Kevin does. He is well spoke and knowledgable. Kevin will not try to BS you. Kevin said something very impressive during our course which few instructors are able to do. He admitted he didn’t know the answer to a room full of student. Being a firearms instructor myself and having attended several different firearms training schools throughout my military and LEO Career, I have watched many instructors BS there way around a question they didn’t know or weren’t sure of. Instead Kevin responded the way many instructors should in these situations. The question Kevin faced was a very difficult one for anyone to answer and it should not take away from Kevin or Blue Ridge Marksmanship by any means. Kevin’s knowledge in firearm training is extensive and it showed throughout the entire course. Kevin is definitely an instructor of instructors and I look forward to my first visit to his facility in the coming months. Kevin is definitely a gifted instructor and after meeting him in person I will definitely be doing several trips out to Blue Ridge Marksmanship in the future. I encourage shooters of any skill level to attend his courses and I strongly encourage new instructors to attend his courses.

This past weekend, Kevin came to our church to teach our security team. It was such a great experience since all material and range time were tailored to the needs of our team and experience levels. No only were we challenged in train of thought, marksmanship and readiness but we were also brought together as a team and bonded in all exercises. In the near future I will without a doubt take further training from Kevin and encourage anyone to have him train your team. He will challenge you, teach you and if you put it to play you will grow. I have previous firearms experience. My father was a hunter safety instructor so I’ve been around firearms my entire life. I primarily shot rifles and shotguns so when I decided to take two separate pistol courses with Kevin I was pretty new in the fundamental aspect of pistols. After having taken a Concealed Carry class and a Pistol 1 class I can say without a doubt that I am ten times better at using my firearm and training with the practical drills that Kevin taught me. Kevin is easy to get along with and gets right to the point with very easy to understand instruction on the range. He has one of the safest shooting environments I’ve seen and strives to keep it that way. If you’re looking for a great firearms instructor you can look no more. This course was worth every penny spent and I will most definitely be taking more classes in the future to advance my skills even further.

I’m a former LEO and have attended firearms training by some of the best instructors anywhere. On January 9 my staff and I took a course from Kevin. It was, by miles, the best training I’ve ever had.

Kevin wastes no time. His instruction technique is to the point and easy to understand. The practical drills he uses can be used afterward.

His humor and knowledge make the experience enjoyable while building self confidence and honing skills.

These courses are exceptionally worth the price.

My husband and I looked for a long time to find a range like Kevin’s He is someone with a vast knowledge of firearms who is diligent about safety for yourself and others when handling guns.
He is exceedingly caring and also infuses his classes with humor! We both enjoyed every class we had with Kevin and we were always amazed at how creative he was, as no two classes were ever the same.
We highly recommend Kevin to novice and proficient marksman alike because whatever your level he will make you feel more confident and you will be much more proficient upon completion of his classes

It is trust when you select a trainer of firearms to instruct your adult children. After 28 years in the military with multiple deployments, I had taught my children all I could, but wanted them to be prepared and confident. This is when I selected Blue Ridge Marksmanship. The quality of instruction, the safety measures employed and the ability to shape the courses to any skill level gave me complete faith in this instruction. During and after the classes my impression of this company only went higher. Having attended numerous firearms classes and taught a few in basic skills, I know this company runs the safest and most affordable for the very high level of instruction. No other firearms instruction meets this level.

Kevin is hands down the best instructor I have ever worked with. He has the ability to teach concepts in a relatable manner that allows students to comprehend the material regardless of past level of experience. Combined with his engaging teaching style and the beauty of the area itself, any course offered at Blue Ridge Marksmanship is worth every penny.

Can’t say enough great things about Kevin and the Blue Ridge Marksmanship facility! Had a blast taking the Concealed Handgun course. Kevin was very professional and laid back . I learned a lot from this course and look forward to taking the pistol 1 course in the near future. Highly recommend anyone looking to get there concealed carry or to get more training from the other courses they have. The Range was very nice as well. Can’t wait to come back!

Having owned an AR type rifle for a decade, I was familiar with the platform but had never had any formal training on it. Having taught numerous classes in other skill sets, I understand what makes an effective instructor. I appreciate that Kevin’s class started on a level that was aimed toward building a solid set of knowledge for folks who had little or no experience, as this is where all classes should start. He has full patience for the novice, and that is a sign of a good instructor. I also appreciate that as the day went on, the pace picks up depending on how well the students are doing. This means that even someone who already has some amount of experience will benefit from the class. He makes sure no one is left behind while also pushing everyone to go further. He uses a “building blocks” approach that sets a solid foundation and then expands upon it as the student progresses. He is knowledgeable, methodical, and approachable and I definitely recommend him as an instructor. Also, the range itself is very well built and the amount of range time in the class is perfect! I will definitely be coming back for other classes in the future.

I have never picked up a gun other than to “look” at them when I was at Dad’s house. I went in to this training with the promise that when I left there, I was going to be equipped with the skills and mindset of how and when to use a firearm. Kevin’s classroom setting was comfortable, relaxed, and exciting all at the same time. He was very clear on situations and times to know the difference when to use a firearm. I learned things about firearms that I never thought I would. The test in the classroom was simple and clear to me due to Kevin’s’ teaching. NOW…. the range test. I was so nervous! I have never shot a firearm nor knew how to even hold it correctly. “Not a problem” Kevin said. “When you leave here, there’s a good chance you’ll be hooked.” Well, long story short…. I’m hooked. He knew exactly what to say, how to say it, and shown me how to make sure I was hitting those targets in the right spot. After my first shot, I knew this was right. When finished with the course, I CAN’T WAIT TO COME BACK!!! Blue Ridge Marksmanship… you guys are awesome!!!

Took Pistol 1 and loved it. Reinforced and built upon existing skills and identified important weaknesses. Went home with homework and an intense commitment to return better next time.
Worth every cent and every round.
Can’t wait to return for more.

I just wanted to take a moment to thank Kevin and his staff. Being in a position of LEO & MILITARY-USMC I can appreciate the need for professional and realistic training. Myself and a few of my team members have taken Kevin’s classes and he is OUTSTANDING! His demeanor, patience and educational skills make him one of the most effective teachers I’ve had my 30 year career. I recommend Kevin & BRM to anyone who is interested in learning from the best. Kevin is not only a great teacher, a true professional but also a great guy.

Wow! What an awesome day on the range. I was a NRA Instructor-Rifle for 15 years teaching Boy Scouts Firearm Safety and Rifle Marksmanship and thought I knew how to shoot. Kevin and Keith took me to another level of handgun shooting improving both my accuracy and confidence. They are professional, safe, courteous and fun. I’ve signed up for my next 2 day course in March and can’t wait for two days at Blue Ridge Marksmanship.

Kevin Dylus has been an instructor of mine, formally and informally, since I was in grade school. I can say, with full confidence that had I NOT had Kevin in charge of my firearms training that I would not enjoy the current respect of safety and control of accuracy which I command today. If you wish to have an instructor who will teach to your current level of skill (beginner to expert) and encourage you toward higher levels of skill, Kevin Dylus and Blue Ridge Marksmanship is your best bet. If you wish to get the BEST value for your hard-earned dollar that you can find anywhere in the greatest country in the entire world, then again I say to you, Kevin Dylus and Blue Ridge Marksmanship is your best bet.

Myself and two coworkers took our Concealed Carry class with Kevin Dylus this past Saturday. We had a blast. We learned far more than expected. Kevin was very laid back but remained professional the whole time. He was very patient and understanding. We asked a lot of questions and he was polite in answering all of them. I would highly recommend this course and the three of us have already decided to take his other pistol classes.

Their knowledge and professionalism was tremendous. Above the instruction when I left I felt that I made a couple new friends. Hope all is well guys!

In the vernacular of us military types (active and retired) this is high speed low drag training at it’s best! Kevin is keenly proficient with a vast number of weapon systems and, more importantly, has what it takes to impart his knowledge to others no matter what their skill level is. Western NC now has an excellent training asset and I for one will certainly be taking further advantage of it!

As a Senior, as in over 65, while I wanted to feel more safe at home and traveling, learning the required legal information for a conceal carry permit concerned me.
Kevin made me feel confident that my goal was reachable. His teaching was precise and interesting. His years of teaching are evident in his personal approach with each student.
I left the classroom feeling more confident about legal guidelines than I thought possible.
I thoroughly enjoyed the shooting on the range. Each of us received personal reviews ( and encouragement) after each round.
I look forward to the pistol 1 class.
I would highly recommend Blue Ridge Marksmanship to any one who wants to learn shooting skills on any level.

I recently took the Conceal/Carry Course with Kevin. Going into the class I was intimidated by my new pistol and my inexperience around a firearm. I can honestly say by the end of the day I had 100% confidence in my ability to handle and fire my pistol. The classroom instruction was second to none! Thank you Kevin!!!!

Kevin is truly gifted at teaching firearms skills to virtually anyone willing to accept instruction. He can quickly determine a student’s skill level and teach him or her the most effective technique to improve accuracy and speed with an array of firearms. His attention to safety, professional skill and light sense of humor make him ideally suited to teach marksmanship to virtually any audience.

This is a review for all the ladies that want their conceal/carry, learn how to handle a gun, and to shoot accurately. Blue Ridge Marksmanship is the place to go. Even though you may feel outside of your comfort zone, their instructors treat you like an intelligent person. They are sincere in wanting to show you how to handle your weapon, understand the law, and to shoot. It is an encouraging and comfortable experience. Once you finish the conceal/carry course, you’ll have a trust in Blue Ridge Marksmanship and will want to sign up for the many other courses that they offer.

Being new to the AR platform, I took the Rifle 1 course. This was the first ever real training for me, so going in, just did not know what to expect, but then you meet Kevin. He is a great guy. He covered so much about the AR platform in just two days. It was very comprehensible and never rushed. He teaches you how to operate your rifle actively, in a fun and safe way.and will take the time to make sure you completely understand before moving on. We spent probably 95 percent of the time on range, with just a little classroom time. The drills and qualifiers he has you run are awesome and really show you were you are shooting wise and when it is over, you take home so much knowledge about your rifle and invaluable skills you can practice and perfect. I will definitely be going back for more. Thanks Kevin

Prior to my attendance at the Blue Ridge Marksmanship class I had not held a loaded gun. I was fretful about my general ignorance of guns and anxious about shooting a pistol. Thankfully, the instructors at BRM were respectful of my inexperience. They did not belittle my lack of knowledge and skill. In fact, they were patient and encouraging. The classroom time built my knowledge and basic skills about handling an unloaded gun. Then on the firing range it was apparent safety was paramount. I could feel the effects of adrenaline as I fired on the target for the first time. Following each successive round of shooting, I received useful feedback to improve my aim. Subsequent to the classroom and firing range instruction, and to my pleasant surprise, I scored 50/50 to qualify for a Concealed Carry Handgun permit. I would recommend BRM to any female or male who wants to gain skill with handling firearms.

I was initially apprehensive about handling firearms. My teenage son expressed interest and I realized we needed to receive proper training. Over the course of our training session Kevin’s education was solid and included key safety information and instruction in handling the weapon. He was patient as he thoroughly prepared us to shoot. We had a great time. I highly recommend Blue Ridge Marksmanship! Thanks Kevin!

After moving to North Carolina last year, I knew I wanted to take a CCW class, but wasn’t sure where to go for instruction. Luckily enough, I was able to meet Kevin through my boyfriend and I knew that he was the person for the job. Kevin is incredibly knowledgable on the laws and does an excellent job during class converting them into layman’s terms so that even the most beginner of shooters can understand. As a novice, female shooter, Kevin made me feel incredibly safe and confident during the shooting portion of the class. The amount of range time and attentiveness given far surpasses any other class I’ve heard about. I will recommend Kevin and Blue Ridge Marksmanship to anyone looking to just get started or wanting to perfect their skills!

I participated in the Pistol 1 course of instruction and was blown away (pun intended). I have taken and conducted hundreds of hours of firearms instruction classes (Military, Law Enforcement, and Civilian) and this was by far one of the best. The skills progressions were logical and effective. The lessons were clear, concise and imparted retain-able immediately applicable skills. Keith and Kevin are extremely knowledgeable. Most importantly they are approachable effective instructors that inspire self ownership of the skill sets in their students leading directly to the students success. I would without reservation encourage anyone who values their training dollar and time to check out Blue Ridge Marksmanship offerings.

Blue Ridge Marksmanship offers incredible training with firearms. When I first went out to meet with Kevin, I had never fired a weapon and was quite intimidated. After a few enjoyable hours learning to handle my shotgun and shoot, I was hooked! I have since taken my two teenagers out to Blue Ridge Marksmanship. They both are now hooked as well. Kevin is all about safety, instruction and fun.
