Advanced TACMED and Close Quarters Pistol

Audience:  The Advanced Tactical Medicine (TCCC)/Care under fire and Close Quarters Pistol course is designed for individuals who have previously taken our TACMED course. The advanced course will progress their skills to a higher level of proficiency as it pertains to providing emergency care to themselves as well as others while being placed in a high stress situation. Scope: This is a 16 hour course that will included topics such as the following: hemorrhage control, wound packing, chest seal application and general blunt force/puncture trauma management. This course covers close quarters/injured shooter pistol applications, single hand operation of a pistol, retention firing and vehicle counter ambush techniques. This is a VERY hands on class! In addition class content includes performing solo causality movement techniques, ground work and a lot more environments where you will get dirty…..   The medical portion of this class will be taught by Max Boswell from Advanced Tactical Provider. Max is a recognized subject matter expert whose knowledge and experience in this field are unsurpassed. Max served in 3rd Ranger Battalion as a medic and earned multiple high level medical qualifications including the Special Forces 18 series Medical Course (short). He further served as the Senior Medic for a county SRT team for almost 18 years and EMS/EOC Senior leadership for over 20 years. He currently instructs at a local college on medical/trauma courses for first responders.   The firearms portion of the course is instructed by Kevin Dylus of Blue Ridge Marksmanship. Range applications will focus on accuracy, cognitive processing of the immediate environment and surviving the ambush. The pistol portion will cover injured shooter operation of the pistol, counter vehicle ambush scenarios (accomplished with simmunition pistols) and extreme compressed environment shooting. Upon the successful completion of this course you will receive two certifications, one being a nationally recognized medical certification.   This is a solid two 8 hour training day course (8:30 am to 4:30 pm) with 30 minutes for a working lunch.
