(Intermediate to advanced level shooting/skills development)

 

Audience:

Intermediate to advanced level handgun shooters with a good amount of shooting experience, looking to improve and enhance their shooting skills to a much higher level.

Scope:

This course is for intermediate to advanced level shooters to introduce them to new shooting techniques and refine their current skills. Classroom instruction and practical exercises on the range will provide the student a solid skill set in advanced shooting fundamentals and handgun manipulation skills. More experienced students will continue to refine their current skill set in order to progress as better shooters.

 

Participants should be prepared to train in all weather conditions. This program can be challenging and participants should come to class with an open mind and a good attitude. With our personal approach to training, low student to instructor ratio, your skills will improve!

 

Training days are eight hours, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, with 30 minutes for lunch. It is highly recommend that you bring your lunch as you will have no options within 15 mins of the range. It is also recommended you have snacks, some will be available such as power bars and granola bars. Otherwise, please bring your own.

Prerequisites and Physical Requirements

  1. Student must present a certificate of completion from a reputable firearms instruction school in the pistol discipline OR have successfully completed BRM Pistol 2 prior to attendance in BRM Pistol 3.
  2. Student should be prepared to train in all weather
  3. Student must possess the physical strength and stamina to fire their firearms in multiple shooting drills.
  4. Student should be physically able to get up and down from standing, kneeling and prone positions.

 

Required Equipment

  • Pistol in good working order with at least 2-3 magazines
  • Belt mounted, dominant side holster that covers the trigger
  • Magazine Pouch(s) (available upon request, no charge)
  • Sturdy belt at least 1.5” wide
  • Cap with brim (baseball or boonie style)
  • T-Shirt with crew neck collar (no V-necks)
  • Long pants (no shorts)
  • Jacket or vest for concealed carry
  • Light hiking boots or running shoes.   NO open toed shoes allowed!
  • Hearing protection (available upon request, no charge)
  • Wrap around eye protection (available upon request, no charge)
  • Water bottle or hydration system
  • Sunscreen / Bug Spray
  • Foul weather clothing
  • Note taking materials
  • 1000-1200 rounds of range ammo (available for purchase at BRM with advanced notice)

Optional Equipment

  • Knee pads / elbow pads (highly recommended)
  • Long sleeve ‘Sun’ shirt (can be button type)
